Aktiivitilat has acquired the Hiekkakuopantie 5 property in Tuusula. The property is a neat production, warehouse and office property built in 2000 and largely renovated in 2024, whose user is kW-set Oy.
Hiekkakuopantie 5 is located in the Sula industrial area of Tuusula, close to the Tuusulanväylä highway and the Helsinki-Vantaa airport. The area is a well-established hub for industry and logistics.
“A well-maintained industrial building with a large yard area and an excellent logistical location is always interesting to us,” says Aktiivitilat partner Tapani Piri.
“In this case, however, the most interesting aspect was the excellent tenant, who is strongly growing and with whom we believe in smooth collaboration in the property,” says Piri.
The tenant of the property is kW-set Oy, which represents Finnish high technology in global markets. The company builds, sells, rents and services backup power equipment around the world.
“We serve the most significant operators in various sectors, from hospitals to shopping centers and from data centers to power plants. In addition, we understand the requirements of special sectors such as state administration,” says CEO Marko Nurmi.
“For example, the internationally growing need for backup power solutions among data centers and defense forces is also reflected in our growth. Our facilities currently serve our operations well, but we will consider expansion if growth continues, and in that case we value a financially solid owner with investment capability,” says Nurmi.
Hiekkakuopantie 5 is the eighth property in the Suomen Hallikiinteistöt portfolio. The portfolio has more than 50,000 m² of leasable area and investments worth more than 60 million euros.
